Do you have a set of plans prepared by an architect or engineer on hand?

Approximate size of the building? (We prefer the actual dimensions; square footage works also.)

Scope of your project? (House lift, structural move, barn move, basement digout, etc.)

Height of the building? (Number of floors is sufficient if no exact measurement Is available.)

What is the building constructed of? (Wood frame, concrete, brick, terracotta, etc.)

How much room is between the building and anything on all four sides? (The more working room our crew has the easier it is to get our equipment underneath the building, resulting in a cheaper estimate)

How much of the building is exposed above grade? (How much of the foundation is visible as you look at the house from the street.)

What is the building currently sitting on? (Existing basement, crawlspace, slab, posts, piers, rock etc.)

Approximate year the building was constructed?

How high are we going to be required to lift the building off its existing foundation?

Any additions to the house being saved? (Fireplaces, chimneys, garages, sunrooms, porches, etc.)

How deep will the new proposed foundation be? (9’ basement, 4’ crawl etc.)

For Moving Projects

Is the building moving on site, or down the road?

Will the house fit down the route required to get to the potential new location?

Overhead wires? (Although they can be lifted or temporarily removed by the proper entities, many times this is the leading factor that derails an over the road house move.)
